Coaching Approval Ratings: Charlie Weis

Notre Dame Fighting Irish head football coach Charlie Weis

With Football season right around the corner, we here at Dejuiced! have decided to take a look at the coaches in the NFL and college football to see how well the fans approve of them. Today we look at Charlie Weis.

Charlie Weis is entering his fourth season as the head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. He’s coming off his worst season to date, after the Irish posted a 3-9 record in 2007. Weis has been called an offensive and quarterback guru, yet so far, his magic is yet to work with young signal caller Jimmy Clausen.

Weis was recently booed at Wrigley Field, where he sang during the seventh inning stretch. Notre Dame is one of the most storied college football teams in history. Weis has to have the Irish competing for a national championship, or at least a BCS bowl each season.

So far, Weis 22-15 overall in his first three seasons in South Bend. However, the schedule never gets easier if you are Notre Dame. Will the Irish stir the echoes in 2008 and return to glory? Or will Weis be on his way out after another dismal season? We’ll have to wait and see on that.
