Where will Carmelo Anthony get traded? What are the odds Carmelo Anthony ends up traded to Team X? Who will the Denver Nuggets get in return for trading Carmelo Anthony? Thankfully, the Melo Drama is set to end in about a week when the NBA trade deadline arrives. Until then, the Melo Drama promises to be hot and heavy.
Where will Carmelo Anthony end up? Here are our current odds:
Denver Nuggets – 50%
With teams not offering a whole lot for Carmelo Anthony, the Nuggets may just hold onto him and hope that he signs an extension or that the new CBA allows for a franchise tag.
New York Knicks – 30%
The Knicks hold a lot of power because it’s where Carmelo Anthony wants to end up. But do they have the pieces to make the Nuggets pull the trigger? We’ll see.
New Jersey Nets – 15%
Expect the Nets to make a late push — possibly on the NBA trade deadline day. In all honesty, they have the best pieces to give the Nuggets.
Los Angeles Lakers – 10%
With Andrew Bynum as a carrot and Los Angeles as a big market lure, the Lakers can’t be discounted.
Dallas Mavericks – 4%
The Mavs may be a Carmelo Anthony away from making a push for a championship. Don’t think that Mark Cuban will go down quietly.
Houston Rockets – 1%
The Rockets have a lot of interesting trade pieces to offer the Nuggets if Denver gets desperate at the last minute.
