Things have gone from bad to worse for Carlos Boozer. The highest paid player on the Chicago Bulls struggled in the first round against the Indiana Pacers. In the final game of the series, Carlos Boozer suffered a turf toe injury. His status for Bulls’ next series is unknown; Chicago will either play the Orlando Magic or the Atlanta Hawks.
Prior to leaving the game, Boozer scored just two points on 1-for-5 shooting from the field. In the five games, he averaged 10 points, 10.2 rebounds and shot just 35.8% from the field. His best outing came in Game 2 when he scored 17 points and pulled down 16 rebounds.
Said Boozer after the game: “I just went up for a shot, the one I made in the second quarter — early in the second quarter — and felt a pop. I’m just going to get it right.”
Bulls fans have to be nervous that Boozer “felt a pop” but the Bulls will have a few days off before the start of their next series.
