Brock Lesnar Retires, Goes Out a Loser

In UFC 141, the fight everyone wanted to watch was Brock Lesnar versus Alistair Overeem. The fight ended up not being too impressive as Alistair Overeem dominated Brock Lesnar and won in the first round.

The biggest news came after the fight: Brock Lesnar retired. The 34-year-old said he’s giving up MMA.

Said Brock Lesnar: “I’ve had a really difficult couple of years with my disease, and I’m going to officially say tonight is the last time. This is the last time you’ll see me in the octagon.”

As for Alistair Overeem, he looks like he could be a future star. This was his first UFC fight but he has a long history as a kickboxing star.

Brock Lesnar retiring is bad news for the UFC. He was the organization’s biggest pay-per-view draw. They’ll now have to search out a new star.
