Boston Bruins Lose Michael Ryder Indefinitely

Indefinitely.  That’s a word that no team or player ever wants to hear but that’s the word being used to describe the amount of time Michael Ryder will be out of the Boston Bruins lineup.  Of course, all it means is that they don’t know when he’ll be able to rejoin the team but, more often than not, it means a player will be out for a while.

Ryder suffered a small fracture in the nose/eye area after he took a high stick to the face during a shootout win against the Ottawa Senators last Thursday.  He’s set to be reevaluated tomorrow but they haven’t ruled out the possibility of him needing surgery.

Ryder has 19 goals and 17 assists in 52 games this season for the Bruins.
