Blake Griffin Cools Off Heat

Blake Griffin is the real deal. The superstar rookie for the Los Angeles Clippers is slowly but surely turning his team into a squad no one wants to play. On Wednesday, the Clippers hosted the Miami Heat — winners of 13 straight road games. With Blake Griffin leading the way with 24 points, 14 rebounds and six assists, the Clippers beat the Heat by a final score of 111-105.

The key to the Clippers win was their fast start. After the end of the first quarter, L.A. had a 44-26 lead. The Heat were never able to overcome that deficit.

Helping out Blake Griffin were guards Baron Davis and Eric Gordon. Davis had 20 points and nine assists, while Gordon totaled 26 points, six assists and five rebounds.

The Heat, as expected, were led by their Big Three. Dwyane Wade had 31 points, LeBron James had 27 points and Chris Bosh had 26 points. The loss dropped Miami to 30-10, while the Clippers improved to 13-24 with the win.
