It’s the first round of the 2011 NBA Playoffs. However, even though the playoffs are just beginning, there are some teams that appear to be the cream of the crop. While things my change between now and the NBA Finals, these teams appear to be the top five teams to beat going forward in the postseason:
1. <strong>Los Angeles Lakers
Even though they are struggling with the Hornets, they will be very difficult to beat once they flip the switch.

2. Miami Heat
Don’t look now by the talented Heat roster is starting to come together. Chris Bosh, specifically, has raised his level of play in the postseason so far.
3. Boston Celtics
Some picked the Knicks to beat the Celtics in the first round. Think again. The Celtics swept ‘em.
4. Oklahoma City Thunder
When it comes to talent, chemistry and youthful ambition, no one can top this Thunder team.
5. Chicago Bulls
The Bulls are off to a relatively shaky start to the postseason. But since they have home-court throughout, they could very easily be the last team standing.
