Bears Down Seahawks, Advance to Packers

The Chicago Bears have been underrated all season. After beating the Seattle Seahawks 35-24 on Sunday, the Bears are one win away from reaching the Super Bowl. The victory over the Seahawks was actually easier than the final score indicates. With three minutes remaining, the Bears had a 35-10 advantage.

Jay Cutler, the often criticized quarterback for the Bears, had a fine game. He passed for 274 yards, rushed for 43 yards and totaled four touchdowns (two passing, two rushing). Running back Matt Forte also added 80 yards on the ground.

Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck had 258 and three touchdowns, but all three of his TD throws came in the fourth quarter — when the game was already a blowout. Considering that the Seahawks were only 7-9 during the regular season, making it this far was quite a feat.

The Bears advance to play the Green Bay Packers next weekend. The Bears, who will be playing at home, will have a chance to show that they are better than you think they are.
