Beanie Wells Injury Update – Fantasy Football Outlook

Beanie Wells, who seems to get injured every week, was injured again last week. He hurt his knee and was limited in practice this week. However, the good news for the Arizona Cardinals is that their starting running back is expected to play today against the Baltimore Ravens.

When healthy, Beanie Wells has been very good in fantasy football this season. He has 423 carries and six touchdowns in only five games. If he keeps up that pace going forward, he’ll be a top three running back by the end of the 2011 fantasy football season.

That said, in Week 8 against the Ravens, he’s a somewhat risky start. The Ravens are fantastic on defense and they love to punish RBs. It wouldn’t be very hard to imagine Beanie Wells leaving the game due to aggravation of his knee injury.

Be happy if he’s on your fantasy football team, however be cautious this week.
