Antonio Gates has to be worrying fantasy football owners. After eight catches in Week 1, he was held without a catch in Week 2 and then missed Week 3 with a foot injury. Going forward it’s unknown when Antonio Gates will be able to play again.
What is known is that Gates won’t play this weekend. To treat his plantar fasciitis, the superstar tight end is going to rest until he feels better.
Said Gates: “This is the only solution I haven’t tried yet. I’ve done whatever it is you can imagine to help this problem.”
If you’re a betting man, bet that Gates won’t return until Week 7. After two winnable games in the next two weeks against the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos, the Chargers then have a bye in Week 6.
