Al Davis Cause of Death

We finally know the Al Davis cause of death. The legendary owner of the Oakland Raiders died of heart related issues. Officially, the cause of death is said to be three things: ventricular fibrillation, congestive heart failure and cardiomyopathy.

Davis had been in failing health for a long while. That he lived to age 82 surprised many people around him. But he was a fighting until the very end; he never did let go of complete control of everything the Raiders did.

On Davis’ death certificate, it says that he suffered a ventricular fibrillation about 15 minutes prior to dying. That specific event apparently was the needle that broke the camel’s back.

In Davis’ long and storied career in the game of football, he was everything from a scout to an assistant coach to a head coach to a general manager to a commissioner. If it’s possible, Al Davis did it.
