Ahmad Bradshaw has a broken foot. You’d think he’d be out for the season, right? Not so fast. The New York Giants think he’ll play again in 2011. In fact, the Giants haven’t counted him out for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.
Bradshaw got hurt last week against the Miami Dolphins. He left the game for a while but later returned to action. Obviously, Bradshaw is a tough dude.
The Giants really need Bradshaw to be healthy if they want to advance to the playoffs. That is especially true because backup running back Brandon Jacobs is having a very poor season so far.
If you are looking for a sleeper would could emerge from this situation, look at DJ Ware. In a scenario in which Bradshaw is too hurt to play and Jacobs remains ineffective, the 26-year-old out of Georgia could get the nod.
