Adrian Beltre Injury Update – Pulled Hamstring

Adrian Beltre of the Texas Rangers is proving to be one of the best free agent acquisitions in all of baseball. The Rangers are playing great, Beltre is smashing and his defense has been amazing. Unfortunately, we have to give you an Adrian Beltre injury update due to a pulled hamstring.

Beltre pulled his hamstring on Friday against the Toronto Blue Jays during the fifth inning. The native of the Dominican Republic was hurt trying to go from first to third.

“It felt like a really hard grab,” said Beltre. “It felt like it was going to tear my leg, but it didn’t get to that point.”

Beltre will get an MRI on his hamstring. If he has a minor sprain, he could be back in a week or so. If it’s moderate to severe, expert the Rangers to put Beltre on the disabled list.
