GF Video: V-In Ab Exercise

OK, so a little background: I just spent 13 hours at work, my dog ran away so I just ran about 2 miles to try and catch him, and all I wanted to do was go to bed. THUS, I’m in my jammies, and out of breath.

With that said, I present to you: V-Ins

You know, I wouldnt recommend a backpack, just because its not made for it: i wouldnt want you to hur tyourself if it slid off to the side or anything. They do make weighted vests, but if you dont want to drop any money, to make them harder, try only one hand or one foot, or opposite hand and foot. You can also do side planks, up on your hands and hold a dumbbell up towards the ceiling.

I love travelin’ planks. I was wondering if to make them harder if it would be okay to wear a weighted backpack? I do lots of other abs stuff with weights, so I thought I’d like to try to add weight to my plank work, but don’t know how. I thought about the backpack idea but am not sure if that would introduce some weird lower back issue or just some support thing that wouldn’t make it good technique or proper form. thanks! you rock

I tried the first ones once and I did a bunch and then just quit becuase I couldn’t feel them, I never thought to take my arms away! It’s hard to believe my lower abs are that strong…but I’ll take your word for it and give the advanced ones a try!

I’ve been doing this move while resting on my hands, but you’re right — hands off the ground is the way to go! I tried it that way last night after I looked at your video. :)

Wow, all that and you still managed a post! Did you catch Mr Porkchop?

You’re killing my core…first traveling planks, now v-ins…you make them look too easy!

Ooooh I love these! We always do them after Turbo except no hands on the floor. Really good burn. Love your jammies:)

I love these videos. I tried the knee planks and I didn’t do too bad until I started confusing myself about which arm went up and down first? ha Then I tried doing them without kneeling, and um I think I pulled my shoulder out. ha

This V-in looks like I might be safe in doing this if I don’t lean back too far. wish me luck! :)

Oh, honey, what a day. You still do a great job with the V-ins. Did you get your dog?!

Thanks so much, Kelly! Honestly, the only thing holding me back from V-ins was the fact that my abs didn’t feel strong enough to do them full out. Now that I know the starter version, I can’t wait to try them! In fact, I think I’ll go do some right now…

I love V-ins – never knew that was the name for them. Thanks for the video, Kelly
