I’m familiar with World of Warcraft because my son is a WoW fanatic. I even created a character named Delenna (swiped loosely from the character on Babylon 5), although I have no idea where she is, and have only accessed her a few times. I know she’s there waiting for me, though.
So this is exciting to me — and, I’m sure, millions of WoW fans around the world. Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have a WoW feature film in the works. When the project was announced a while back, it was said to be live-action with a CG environment and characters (of course!). I hope they can do justice to it on the big screen.
The story would take place about a year before the events in World of Warcraft, and would be told from the Alliance perspective. No release date has been announced, but I’m hoping it looks something like this, the trailer for Blizzard Entertainment’s second expansion, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (to be released later this year). The graphics are so beautiful.
