The four-hour original A&E television event stars Benjamin Bratt, Eric McCormack, Ricky Schroder, Andre Braugher, Christa Miller, Daniel Dae Kim and Viola Davis and airs Monday, May 26 and Tuesday May 27 from 9-11 on A&E.

I’d like to win this because the Andromeda Strain was the first scifi book I read when I was younger, and I’d like to see if I can remember anything.

I saw the original but really remember very little of it. I’d like to own this because I like seeing good literary works done justice in a mini-series format. It allows much more loyalty to the true vision of the author.

The book and original movie were my introduction to biological terror.
As a child, this movie fascinated me. I suppose it was because it was my first exposure to an apocalyptic type film. I’ve since enjoyed several doomsday type movies, but this was definitely my first.
I like that (for the time period) it was modern, had intelligent women in it, and dealt with disability. The thought that a virus could wipe out the world was horrifying and yet fascinating at the same time.
While I haven’t watched the original in years, there was a time that whenever I came acrossed it, I’d always have to stop whatever I was doing and watch it.
I’ll be really interested to see if the new movie lives up to the old one.

Michael Crichton has always been my favorite star and i first got introduced to him in the series, id like to win the series so i can add it to my already massive scifi collection
guess I am gonna be in the minority because I think Rick Schroeder is the best actor in this movie

Would love to win anything! I watch any scifi programs and movies because it makes you think “What If”. This movie contains so many great actors that I have seen on TV and in movies, I think they are all awesome. I couldn’t pick just one as a favorite because several are my favorites but I remember seeing little Ricky years ago.
I saw this movie when I was very young and it scared me, I think I can handle it now!
