Will Calleigh & Eric Have a Baby Together Next Season?

Emily Procter

There’s no definite news about it, but it could be a very strong possibility. According to Kristin at E! Online, last week when Emily Procter from CSI: Miami was in Monaco for the Monte Carlo TV Festival she told the press that she is hoping to have a baby in her personal life this year and it may be something that will work out on screen too.

Even though Emily is unattached, she feels that it’s time for her to have children of her own. Here’s what she said about it:

“I am hoping this is my year to have children,” she says. “I understand that I am possibly more European in my views of marriage. I am not going to say I’m not going to get married, but it’s not my priority. I think the Eric [Adam Rodriguez] and Calleigh story will work nicely if this is my year to get pregnant, and hopefully it will be.”

What do you think about the possibility of Eric & Calleigh having a baby? What kinds of new dynamics will it bring to the series? I’d like to hear your thoughts!

I think Eric/Calleigh having a baby would be great. It works well on CSI:NY and I have waited seasons for Calleigh/Eric to become a couple. Every season the show has Calleigh with some guy and they always walk out of her life. I felt bad when Eric did the same. She needs to find happiness. Right now Calleigh is more like Catherine on CSI minus a child but running thru men. Her character should be be with Eric.
Oh and for those who says it a soap opera, the show is considered a drama!! Which includes everything from love to murder. The love twist are great and makes the shows very interesting.

No,there should be no baby for Eric and Calleigh,at least not until the show is ending. What works well for other shows would not work well for Miami. The writers couldn’t even handle that horrible romance without making a mess of the other characters airtime and stories. If they must have kids, let them leave please! They dominated the series way too much last season and some of us don’t want to see a return to that.

Really? What the Frick. No. Just no. It’s bad enough that the whole concept of ‘bullet girl’ seems to not exist, having a baby would be a stupid idea. So yeah. And if you watched the episode that was on last night, it was like a fricking sex scene!! Dude! Little kids might watch this show!! Geez… Anyways, bad idea that indeed would make it to personal. ☂

I love the idea of Eric and Calleigh getting married and having a baby. H got married, Eric dealt with Marisol’s cancer, so as a side story, Eric and Calleigh can have a relationship that would not ruin the show. As for the last episode where they finally showed Eric and Calleigh together in the bedroom, I though it was very tasteful and quite frankly, young children should not be up at 10:00pm on a school night, nor is CSI Miami the type of show that a young child should watch anyway. Eric and Calleigh have built up a great relationship over the past 8 years, have great chemisty and I definitly will stop watching if that changes.

That would be a great idea. I don’t think the show will lose it’s purpose. Be open-minded a little you people who say it would ruin the show. It’s not like every episode that airs we would see eric and calleigh standing over the crib of their baby lol!! The writer’s know how to do their jobs and they know how to make both sides appear in the show. And the other characters are not losing out in the show. I mean ryan had his air time on the wolfe in sheep’s clothing episode. Natalia is having her close-ups in the season 8 episode because of her hearing loss. Horatio is going to be working on a personal case with kyle soon in the 8.19 ep.Well Frank, there’s nothing really happening with him. And jesse he’s having that whole “a stalker killed my wife type thing” so it all levels out. People are so narrow-minded these days!!!!GOSH!!! buy YAY!! for the Eric and Calleigh baby storyline.

The other characters getting a little time in one or 2 episodes in no way equals,”they had their air time”, they are losing out big time.Calleigh and Eric have had theirs too and then some. The writers need to wrap this story up.None of the other characters have had stories that dragged on for seasons.I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Eric and Calleigh standing over the crib at least every other episode.I say a big no to a baby.

I think it would work nicely… I do agree that the other characters should have more involvement on the show. It’s not all about Calleigh and Eric! How about some more of Walter? Or Frank? Those guys make the show. Does anyone agree?
