Why "Twilight" Bumped To November 21 Release?

Twilight fans who’ve heard the news that the movie debut is bumped to November 21 2008 are no doubt happy and even a bit surprised.

Originally slated for December release, the excitement of the film has been a bit like a moving train, fueled with book release parties, Comic-Con madness, and even some controversy about a magazine cover.

According to Warner Brothers, the reason behind the move is simply to get the film to the fans as quickly as possible.

No doubt, the Harry Potter release moving from this December to the summer of 2009 has gotten some fans a bit twisted. Most fans will chalk it up to production companies just making sure that both films get the biggest and best releases as possible.

Many found it surprising that both of these films were initially tapped for a December release, especially since there does seem to be a bit of a rivalry between the two fan bases. I think its clear this change is a win for both groups and all movie-goers alike.
