This is Michael Ausiello’s response on TVGuide.com to a question about the more passionate version of teh kiss on Bones.

Ausiello: Holy lip-smacker! I counted seven steamboats — and at least one tongue. Not sure why they didn’t use this version. Perhaps Jaime Boreanaz was given final approval?

I’m also glad that the extended wasn’t in the show. Caroline reaction worked better on the longer one as well as the gum thing. but when a kiss is “forced” and really non romantic first kiss then it’s better if they’re not “overdoing it”. Ok, both would have worked, but now we know that the REAL first kiss will be better:D

I for one am glad we didn’t get the extended kiss! I think it would have come out of where in terms to their relationship so far i guess.. at least in the context of a wager with Caroline anyway.

i loved the kiss lols, nd Jiame was thought to decide about it? she feels jalouse?????? well, maybe she’s right.there’s a lot of chemistry between our Emily nd David, but she shoulnd’t be so, David loves her a lot nd we all deserved to have the expanded kiss on the big screen
