WGA Meeting Scheduled for Saturday

This could be it!  The writers’ strike is in it’s fourth month and let’s hope it’s the final one as well.  Variety is reporting that the WGA West will be holding a general membership meeting to discuss current negotiations on Saturday in Los Angeles.

WGA leaders are expected to announce the details of a proposed contract with the majors at that point — and the reaction from members at the meeting should give guild toppers a strong indication of whether the deal will pass muster in a ratification vote.

In case you are wondering, the WGA East has not announced the time and place of its weekend membership meeting.

Here’s hoping this truly does bring an end to this lengthy strike.  I need my shows back!
