That’s more or less what New York Post columnist Adam Buckman seems to think, and he makes a pretty convincing case for that perception.
Citing no less than seven explicit references to bathroom behavior in the first two episodes of Weeds’ forthcoming fourth season, which takes off on June 16, Buckman includes the following examples:
Justin Kirk‘s Andy Botwin says, “Here I sit cheeks a-flexin’, giving birth to a baby Texan.”
Andy Milder‘s Dean Hodes states, “I can get myself on a toilet and evacuate my own bowels.”
Albert Brooks’ Len claims, “I $%?# like a Swiss train!
And there’s much, much more.
I haven’t seen the episode myself, but I can understand how this trend is something that might distress viewers who wish the show would just stay on track with the dope. Isn’t that enough?
