Wade Williams spoke to SpoilerTV recently about the death of his character, Brad Bellick. Wade says he knew it was coming and he’s surprised that Bellick lasted as long as he did! “I mean he was the prison guard for a season and that they actually kept that character going for 3½ years is pretty cool.”
Wade says that he would have thought his character would have been done after the boys escaped from prison, but he’s grateful to have been a part of the series.
The most memorable moment working on Prison Break was having to wear his underwear for two episodes. “I was covered in dirt and oil and blood and it was really uncomfortable also being out in like the 120-degree heat in Texas.” Wade talks about coming home and playing with his daughter, getting their white carpet filthy!! “I would say tighty whities was definitely a high point or a low point, depending on how you look at it.”
Wade feels that Bellick was definitely a three-dimensional character. “I think they wrote him beautifully that way. You know it just goes to show you that if you can actually feel for the guy when he gets killed then it tells you how far he’s come because in the first season everybody hated him.”
During the first season fans would hug the other characters but not Wade. “So to come around to the point where people actually feel bad for the guy when he croaks that’s a pretty good twist.”

I feel so sad that he’s gone now. Though I knew something was gonna happen but never thought he’d die in a tube! He’s a great actor and I sure would love to meet him one day. Well done Wade!

RIP BBellick. He was prob the most complex characters on the show. No wife, no love, no.family to speak of other than his mother. His hatred for MScofield has to come from some deep rooted childhood history. And he was an alcoholic. Bellick was a character that they could have done soooo much more with. That is my only regret. I can’t believe Bellick was self centered, that’s too easy. I think he was self loathing, and maybe careless, but probably hurt in his life, many times, maybe even abused.
I’m with you on this one Nico.
1st season, Bellick was a nasty b*****d. :(
2nd season, he was too ambitious for the money!
3rd season, his status became reduced and Bellick looked weak.
And now well, his status has improved being in the A-team but he doesn’t REALLY show much devotion in bringing down the company. :(
Wade williams protrays his character as self-centred and careless.
Thats exactly what I felt,
in the beginning, I just hated him, but when the 3rd Season started, I started to feel for him, and now he’s dead, I’m sad he’s gone :(
But it had to come .. ;)
