In Miss Universe 2010, Miss Philippines was one of the favorites. She seemed well on her way to winning — until she was asked a question that completely stumped her: What major mistake had she made in her life. After thinking for a few seconds, Miss Universe said she’s perfect. That non-answer didn’t sit well with the Miss Universe judges and she ended up finishing fifth.
Honestly, her answer didn’t surprise me. Most chicks think they’re perfect. In truth, none of them are perfect. Find a chick who doesn’t think she’s perfect and I’ll show you a liar. So by telling the truth, Miss Philippines was penalized. Not too fair, if you ask me.
Should she have answered the question? Should she have admitted a major mistake to a global audience. Was that the proper arena to take skeletons out of the closet? The correct answer was most likely some canned response about how her major mistake was not creating world peace by puberty.
