Utah has become the first US State to make it mandatory for residents to work 4 days a week…three day weekend here we come! Governor Jon Huntsman, a first-term Republican, has introduced the change, which will affect the majority of state employees, in an attempt to reduce the state’s carbon footprint, increase energy efficiency, improve customer service and provide workers more flexibility.
The decree went into effect on August 4th and has faced some criticism across the State. Some employees are upset because every employee has to work the same 4 days for the plan to work.
