US Weekly Interview

Interview With Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof – they reveal some insight into the finale and Season 3.

Desmond: “It would be a real shame for him to be dead,” says Lindelof. In fact, the 30-second sequence in which he hit the fail-safe button “sets up everything to follow in season three,” says Cuse.

Who are the people looking for Desmond: The Portuguese-speaking men tracking Desmond appeared to be in the snow, but “Portuguese is only spoken in Brazil and Portugal,” hints Cuse.

The Others claimed that they are good: “Who has killed more people since they went to the island, our guys or The Others?” asks Lindelof.

What is up with Charlie? He is unfazed by the hatch explosion, but “comes back changed,” says Cuse.

    RE Lost Finale

You mentioned Charlie above. I am really bothered that after the hatch explosions, sky going wild, weird ear splitting noises, hatch flying through the sky and almost killing Claire and baby, WHY at the end of the show (except two guys in the snow) are all the Losties just sitting around the fire and not going to see what happened at the hatch and to the other members of their group that did not return???????? Very Weird!!!!
Also the way Charlie replied ” You mean thir not back yet? when asked where Locke and others were,it was almost like he was glad they were (supposedly) killed in the hatch???
