UK Music Charts – Oct 18 – Alexandra Burke & Editors

The UK music charts may mean less now than they used to but they’re still an indicator of what’s hot on the popular British music scene right now. This week’s Top 10 singles and Top 10 albums are listed below.

Editors In This Light and On This Evening Album Cover

This week’s singles chart saw a race to the number one spot between Robbie Williams, with Bodies, and Alexandra Burke, with Bad Boys feat. Flo Rida. Burke won by a nose, with Robbie coming in at two. Last week’s number one single, Oopsy Daisy by Chipmunk, dropped to number three. The only other new entry was Michael Buble with Haven’t Met You Yet.

A three horse in the albums chart saw the Editors beat Shakira and Chipmunk to the number one spot. In This Light and On This Evening is the third studio album from the band, and has repeated the success of their last release. I Am Chipmunk landed in second, while She Wolf only made number four, Madonna’s Celebration coming in between them.
