‘Two and a Half Men’ Fifth-Season Premiere: Large Birds, Spiders and Mom

Two and a Half Men
Despite the continual distraction of the too-public divorce battle between star Charlie Sheen and his ex Denise Richards, Two and a Half Men is still sitting high at the top of television’s list of the most popular sitcoms.

When we last saw the two main characters in an original episode, polar-opposite brothers Charlie (Sheen) and Alan (Jon Cryer) were both doing what they do best: womanizing in the case of Charlie and whining (about his ex-wife’s new marriage) in the case of Alan.

The fifth-season premiere picks up at that very familiar spot as the siblings attempt to help Alan’s son Jake (Angus T. Jones) get ready for his very first taste of junior high. So, fans already have a pretty good idea of how that’ll probably turn out—with Jake even worse off than he was just helping himself.

Other noteworthy events to look forward to this season, according to the recent September 17–23 print edition of TV Guide, include Charlie’s burgeoning career as a “children’s singing star” and the return of dashing Robert Wagner as a romantic interest for the boys’ one-of-a-kind mom Evelyn (Holland Taylor).

Two and a Half Men‘s “Large Birds, Spiders and Mom” debuts at 9pm EST tonight, right after the CBS newcomer The Big Bang Theory.

Unfortunately, robert, the only episodes coming in the near future will be repeats.

“Two and a Half Men” only managed to complete filming on ten of 24 ordered episodes for the current fifth season, and all of those episodes have aired already.

Fingers crossed that the writers strike is resolved before the entire winter and spring seasons are a bust, too.
