Every year needs at least one vampire movie, and for 2008, that movie is “Twilight” from Summit Entertainment.
Based on the first installment of Stephenie Meyer’s popular young-adult novels, the movie is a high-school-romance-vampire tale. Kristen Stewart plays a girl who moves to a small town in Washington state to live with her father.
Once there, she’s drawn to a mysterious classmate named Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), who turns out to be a vampire. In fact, the entire Cullen family are all creatures of the night.

Joining the cast (as vampires!) are Peter Facinelli (“Riding In Cars with Boys,” “Damages”), Elizabeth Reaser (Pictured, “The Family Stone”), Jackson Rathbone (“The O.C”), Nikki Reed (“Lords of Dogtown”), Ashley Greene (“Shark”), and Kellan Lutz (“The Comeback”).
Catherine Hardwicke will direct the movie based on a script by Melissa Rosenberg. It’s scheduled to go into production this month for a late 2008 release, ahead of a potential actor’s strike, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Other upcoming Summit projects include “The Brothers Bloom” and the martial arts movie, “Never Back Down.”
I’m most excited about the casting of Elizabeth Reaser. Sure, she was in “The Family Stone,” but you might know her better as Ava from “Grey’s Anatomy.”

they haven’t annouced casting details at all for Eclipes…but if you are really serious about trying for it you should read the books, cos it comes across as you not knowing anything about it. But all I can tell you is that there is no details on casting calls for Eclipes yet…we aren’t even sure if Chris Weitz will be directing the third installment of Stephenie Meyers Twilight series. We might not find out until the end of this year.

of course her cloak is dark!! but she is darker than demitri who is olived skinned…if you know anything about Italy or have been there you would know that there is a LOT of dark italians…not everyone is fair you know…stephenie meyer wanted to keep to the descriptions of traditional italians…

EVERYONE, IF YOU WERE REALLY FANS OF STEPHENIE MEYERS BOOKS, YOU WOULD KNOW THAT JANE IS DESCRIBED AS BEING DARKER THAN OLIVE SKINNED!! ARRGHH! sorry, but it’s been pissing me off!!…& Dakota Fanning may get the role of Jane..which is stupid, because it totally goes against the book, cos they r having Jane as a Blond with pale skin & thin lips….because the director is lame & doesn’t care about the true fans who discovered the books before it became popular..& believe that it should stay as close to the story as possible…Chris Weitz has totally contradicted himself, because he said he wanted to keep as close to the book as possible & instead he’s going against the one character description that everyone is interested in..argh!

I don’t think dakota can play jane because jane is desrcibed as being a little bit dark skinned, and Dakota is too light. Dakota also has a reputation of being a sweet girl, and Jane is known to be merciless and mean.
Jane looks a little bit more like me, except I’m a little bit darker, and her lips are fuller. But we’re both athletically built and have big eyes and have really frightening evil glares.

I can’t really see Vanessa Hudgens as Leah because leah comes across as curvier and Vanessa does not look Native American.

Hey, I am so new too this…I am getting frustrated..First I am so happy for anyone being adutioned or even getting their foo in the door. But has anyone heard about audtions for extra, I am not Native American. Totally pale, dark hair, blue eyes 5’1. I want a part. Live in Texas though!!!!
