TV Guide Drops CW From Its Listings

ackles-padalecki-s4-02-thumb Supernatural fans, don’t check TV Guide to find out when your show is coming on. Same goes for Smallville fans, as the long running magazine has decided to take The CW Network completely out of its TV listings.

TV Guide said there wasn’t room for CW or MTV in the listings, but for some reason still displays Ion and MyNetwork. That’s interesting. The only show I watch on MyNetwork is WWE Smackdown and I couldn’t even tell you if Ion is available in my area. Something tells me there’s a lot more to this story than TV Guide is letting on. Los Angeles’ KTLA isn’t taking the snub lying down, as they are encouraging their viewers to contact TV Guide directly.

Readers, what do you think? Are TV Guide’s magazine listings even relevant anymore?

Thanks for explaining this mystery! I thought I was crazy. I couldn’t for the world figure out why TV Guide would have stories about CW shows such as Smallville and Gossip Girl and then not tell us when they are on! Since I just got a subscription to TV Guide, I’m definitely going to complain. No room for MTV or CW? You’ve got to be joking TV Guide!

So, how do we contact them? Snail mail because it is a magazine issue, or e-mail. I’ve noticed that the CW has been missing for two weeks now and I’m just a little irked.
