Remember TNT’s short-lived original series Trust Me from earlier this year? That was the advertising dramedy starring Will & Grace’s Eric McCormack (pictured below) and Ed’s Tom Cavanagh, which was swiftly canceled in April after just one season.

If you were a fan of the show, then I’ve got good news. No, TNT hasn’t decided to resurrect Trust Me. But you can catch McCormack on an upcoming episode of NBC’s hit crime drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
McCormack is set to headline “Sugar,” the second episode of the show’s 11th season, when it premieres on Wednesday, September 30, at 9pm ET. He guest stars as Vance Shepard, the CEO of an online dating website who may have crucial information concerning a murdered woman found stuffed inside a suitcase (Yikes!). The only problem for the cops is Shepard’s refusal to help out with their investigation.
Also appearing for the intriguing case is Chicago Hope veteran Christine Lahti, who plays Assistant District Attorney Sonya Paxton, and comedy legend Robert Klein as Shepard’s attorney Dwight Stannich.
Continue below for a few choice spoiler stills picturing McCormack (somebody’s heading all the way to court) and a sneak peek featuring both him and Lahti. The episode definitely looks worth watching.
