"Torchwood" Star to Play "Captain America"?

ComingSoon.net has people on the scene at Comic-Con, and they’re reporting that John Barrowman, the star of BBC’s Torchwood, just might be playing Captain America in the upcoming feature film.  

Barrowman smiled and said he’d love to play the character, and that Captain America has always been his favorite comic book superhero. He also said there have been discussions with his agents on this very issue.

The First Avenger: Captain America is scheduled for a May 6, 2011 release.

Hmmm…I’m not that familiar with Captain America. I wonder if Barrowman’s just a little too pretty for the role… What do you think?
