It has been another great year for Hip-Hop. Jay-Z and Kanye West blew the top off of the music industry with their albums "American Gangster" and "Graduation." With the Grammy’s quickly approaching this February, all the buzz is on Kanye West and his record nominations.
Anyways, this Top-Ten list is from David Dennis Jr. of the Jackson Free Press
Hey Let HipHopRoll know if you agreed with the Top-Ten or if there are others that should have made the list.
- Jay-Z, "American Gangster": I wasn’t so sure after watching his music video but I later love his album after hearing him perform live on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
- Kanye West, "Graduation": I love his tracks "Good Morning," & "Good Life." A high point in my recent life was renting a convertible and driving up and down Las Vegas Boulevard two months ago with this album playing on the stereo.
- Lupe Fiasco, "The Cool": After hearing him perform live on Late Night with David Letterman last night I thought, "now this dude is a true hip-hop artist."
- Ghostface Killah, "Big Dough Rehab": His albums are always very interesting. I mean wouldn’t anyone want to be addicted to money and go to a rehab clinic with nurses like that! Damn, I’d check myself in right now.
- Scarface, "M.A.D.E": .Haven’t heard the album yet but I will very soon.
- Little Brother, "The Getback": Haven’t heard the album yet but I will very soon.
- Sean Price, "Jesus Price Superstar": Haven’t heard the album yet but I will very soon.
- Public Enemy, "How You Sell Soul to a Soulless People Who Sold Their Soul???": Haven’t heard the album yet but I will very soon.
- 3-Joe Budden, "Mood Musik": Haven’t heard the album yet but I will very soon.
- Common, "Finding Forever": Haven’t heard the album yet but I will very soon.
