Tom Cruise’s "Valkyrie" Gets Pushed Back

Variety is reporting that Tom Cruise‘s upcoming film "Valkyrie" is being pushed from its’ planned release date of June 27 (for the July 4th weekend) to October 3, 2008. 

Further, it has been revealed that a pivotal battle scene in which Cruise’s character (pictured at left) loses an eye and hand, has yet to be filmed – they are in the process of finding a new location since their plans of shooting outside of the U.S. have been scrapped.

"Valkyrie" is based on the real-life story of a Nazi officer who is part of a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler.
