There is nothing bias or inflammatory really, when the truth is indicated.
The laughter that the the sketch elicited naturally comes from the old adage “truth hurts”…and we were laughing till it hurt.

To say that Palin is “dimwitted” isn’t slander or mischievous half-truth.
Its the general perception after her background and personality has been aired since being chosen by McCain.
“Clueless” is synonymous to dimwitted and these are not put-downs but simply the obvious.

The difference Chandra, is my words were complimentary – to both women. Yours were inflammatory to only one.

I believe terms as “dimwitted”, “Un-enviable”, “Clueless” and more should have been left out.

Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, which is why bloggers have every right to include their own in posts. If I wanted to nitpick, I’d counter that your comment should have left out the adjective “attractive” since such language is part of the major problem the sketch was speaking out against, in case it wasn’t clear.

Chastising strangers on the Internet, no matter what their political persuasion, for how they express themselves isn’t my thing, though. If only I had that much free time.

I believe terms as “dimwitted”, “Un-enviable”, “Clueless” and more should have been left out. Comedy is comedy – let us keep politics out. If you’re a left-leaning, tree-hugging, Birkenstock-wearing, liberal – that’s fine. But to call Mrs. Palin all these hateful things is not only untrue, but shows a lack of class and decorum.
The impersonation was well done though. I enjoyed it quite a bit as both women (Palin and Fey) are attractive and very talented.

The opening sketch was a killer. Well written and perfectly performed. After that…nothing. Lame, dated sketches…even Weekend Update was one of the weakest ever.
Tina Fey is missed in more ways than one.
