I’m starting something new here at HipHopRoll.com it’s called (look up, look up)… Yep! You guess it, this, or that? Here’s the concept: I’ll give you a this and a that and you’ll hit the comments page and tell us all which is better, worse, more hilarious, etc. depending on whatever the subject matter may be.
Now, since it’s a new year and I’m kicking a new segment, I figure I’ll keep true to that theme and do an old/ new – group/ solo comparison to commence things. It ain’t Wednesday but lets talk Wu simply because I saw this (left) while I was walking down the street today. It was this pavement graffiti that caused me to play Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) upon arriving home while simultaneously thinking about Wu Tang at it’s best.
Is it the group material? Like in the mid 90′s when they released Wu Tang Forever and Enter the Wu-Tang, Chart topped, went platinum and made hip hop history. Then, in the 2000′s released The W, Iron Flag, and 8 Diagrams. Or is it the solo projects? For example, Liquid Swords, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Ironman, Return of the 36 Chambers and Tical, including everything that came after right up to present day.
Personally, I wouldn’t commit suicide if the 5 Wu Tang group albums disappeared off the face of the earth. But, I’d consider it if we were dealing with Blackout!, Cuban Linx, ODB’s singles or maybe even Fishscale or Bobby Digital In Stereo.
So here it is, the this, or that? question for the week: What is more crucial to your life? Wu Tang group stuff? Or Wu Tang solo projects? Leave us your comments.

Amazing post idea by the way.
Enter the 36 Chambers, it’s a desert island album.
Even though I don’t listen to any of the other group albums, I gotta say I’m rollin’ with the whole Clan.
Don’t let this influence your decision or anything: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-2klRHBvxo
