"The Stand" Comic - Online Exclusive Preview

First there was the novel, then the TV miniseries, and now in the tradition of the successful Dark Towers series based on Stephen King’s novels, The Stand comes in a graphic novel adaptation.

Marvel Comics has released an exclusive preview of the first six pages of the comic book debut issue of The Stand over at UGO. It is illustrated by Mike Perkins and written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. The graphic novel will be divided into 30 issues, with the first one titled, Captain Trips.

The Stand – Synopsis

The story from the novel chronicles first, the escape and spread of a super virus, which kills most of the population of North America, and the world. Then a small number of survivors are led by their dreams..some to a wise old woman named Mother Abigail who lives on a farm and represents good, and some to Randall Flagg, the embodiment of evil, and dark player in this book. The story ends in a destructive final confrontation between good and evil.

Since King oversaw this project along with the writer, it promises to be a faithful and compelling graphic novel. Click on the link below, or on the image above to order your copy.
