It’s Christmas! As a certain Noddy Holder may have shouted once or twice over the last 30 years. And what better way to celebrate than with what is undoubtedly the greatest Christmas song of all time.
For those who don’t know – and if that’s the case then where have you been? – this is Fairytale Of New York by The Pogues Feat. Kirsty MacColl. And it’s an absolute gem of a song, with a great video to match. Be sure to look out for Matt Dillon.
If one Christmas song isn’t enough for you then check out my top ten of all time from last year. But this topped that list and continues to sum Christmas up for me. A Christmas without this record just wouldn’t be Christmas.
Merry Christmas to all the Brit Music Scene readers who celebrate this holiday. I hope it all goes off without a hitch, that Santa brings you everything you desire, and that the dinner lives up to the considerable hype.
