The Parents Television Council Hates 24

Every year the Parents Television Council releases a list of shows that they deem appropriate for children to watch. Lets just say that a show about terrorism, torture and the USA doesn’t rank very high on that list. In this year’s report, the PTC ranked 24, “the worst series for live-action violence, with 28 instances of violence per hour.” Additionally, “FOX was ranked the worst network for live action violence.” This isn’t exactly shocking, as 24 has frequently ranked on the PTC’s worst of the week list in past years.

It’s not all bad. 24 ranks a solid green when it comes to sex, meaning the PTC sees it as a “Family-friendly show promoting responsible themes and traditional values.” Too funny.
