The New Adventures of Old Christine: Double Whammy Spoilers (3-10-08)

Spoilers
Since Welcome to the Captain has gone bye-bye, CBS is serving up two episodes of The New Adventures of Old Christine tonight.

First at the special time of 8:30pm EST is the brilliantly titled “The New Adventures of Old Christine.” How did they ever come up with that?! New Christine sets Old Christine up on a blind date, which leads to complications, of course, as is always the case with Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ character.

Then at the usual time of 9:30pm EST, “House” will feature Old Christine trying desperately to prove she’s happy her ex-husband Richard has finally bought the house she always wanted — and he’s going to live in it with his current significant other New Christine. That’s gotta hurt…

The New Adventures of Old Christine airs Mondays on CBS at 9:30pm EST.

I agree with you, Pete986, especially your love for Christine. I personally think that CBS is so wrapped up in the success of its procedurals and Monday-night comedy lineup, it has trouble remembering its own shows that don’t fall into those two groups.

It was unbelievable when the network started mistreating Christine right after the sitcom scored Emmy love, so maybe CBS execs will wise up before it’s too late.

I love “Christine” (as WE call it) I keep getting the feeling that CBS is trying to kill it. They are constantly moving it and they often leave it off the schedule to put something else on.

What happened to CBS? In the 70s they had it going ON. Now, the network that had the guts to put “All in the Family” on the air seems to be afraid of all things comedy.

Come on, CBS!! She’s a dysfunctional Mary Tyler Moore with a kid and hillarious brother! Kudos to Wanda Sykes, I was never a fan, but she is great on this show.
