It’s been too long since I’ve seen Michael Keaton in anything. Now I’ll have the chance, because he’s directing and starring in "The Merry Gentleman" with Kelly Macdonald, Tom Bastounes, and Bobby Canavale.
Macdonald stars as Kate Frazier, a young woman who leaves an abusive marriage and ends up in Chicago, where she meets Frank Logan (Keaton). He also has a painful past, and neither one is any too keen on sharing with each other.
Rated R for language and some violence, "The Merry Gentleman" will have a limited theatrical release on May 1, 2009. Check out the trailer below. Kelly Macdonald is another favorite of mine. She was lovely in "Gosford Park" and "Nanny McPhee," and knocked me out in "No Country For Old Men."
