"The Last House on the Left" – Preview & Trailer

last_house_left The original version of "The Last House on the Left," directed by Wes Craven, came out in 1972. Now there’s a new version of the slasher film directed by Dennis Iliadis, due out sometime in 2009.

Here’s the scoop: The night she arrives at the remote Collingwood lake house, Mari (Sara Paxton) and her friend are kidnapped by a prison escapee and his crew.  Terrified and left for dead, Mari’s only hope is to make it back to parents John and Emma (Tony Goldwyn and Monica Potter).  Unfortunately, her attackers unknowingly seek shelter at the one place she could be safe.  And when her family learns the horrifying story, they will make three strangers curse the day they came to … the last house on the left.

Check out the official site of "The Last House on the Left," and after the jump, watch the trailer. It’s creepy!

Wasn’t there a scene in the original where one of the girls is stabbed in the vagina? And why can’t anyone located the original?
