‘The House of the Devil’ Disc Details

Ti West’s The House of the Devil was probably my favorite horror film of 2009. You can read my full THOTD5review here or learn more about West by checking out my interview with him. The film hits DVD and Blu-ray on February 2 and has a bunch of great features on tap. Pre-order the DVD here or the Blu-ray.

Special features include:

5.1 English Audio;English and Spanish subtitles; feature-length commentary with writer-director-editor Ti West and actress Jocelin Donahue; feature-length commentary with writer-director-editor Ti West, producers Larry Fessenden and Peter Phok, and sound designer Graham Reznick; In The House of the Devil; Behind the House of the Devil; Theatrical Trailer; Deleted Scenes

The House of the Devil is set in the 1980s and revolves around Sam (Jocelin Donahue), the college cutie who is so desperate for cash that she accepts a babysitting job for creepy Mr. and Mrs. Ulman (cult actors Tom NoonanMary Woronov) even after she finds out there is no baby. They lure Sam into their home just in time for a total lunar eclipse. Cue satanic ritual stuff here. The film also stars AJ Bowen (The Signal), Greta Gerwig (Hannah Takes the Stairs, Baghead) and Dee Wallace (E.T., Rob Zombie’s Halloween).

This was such an amazing film! It nabbed my number four spot for the year in horror. Can’t wait to get my hands on that blu-ray.
