House fans, you aren’t the only ones with opinions about who would be best for House to get romantic with. TV Guide’s Matt Roush answers this question from a fellow fan:
Question: I know there is to be a division of ‘shippers in any fan base, but I have to say, I just don’t get the Hameron ‘shippers on House. I was a Hameron ‘shipper all the way through the second season, but right now it seems not only unlikely, but also out of character. House pays prostitutes for sex and even slept with a married woman, so we know that he has very little qualms about getting his rocks off when he feels like it. So why would House not have had sex with the beautiful Cameron when he had the chance all the way back in Season 1? I think he knew, given her feelings for him, that it would be wrong to do so while having absolutely no feelings for her — one of the few decent things he’s ever done. Also, Cameron is clearly not House’s type. I’m not saying House doesn’t care about her on some level, but I really think it’s in more of a fatherly way, despite his inappropriateness towards her (and all females). He’s nurtured her into being a much better doctor and, quite frankly, less of a wimp. They are just completely wrong for each other romantically. I think, if anyone, Doctor Cuddy is more of his type. Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein have great chemistry, and their scenes together are funny and interesting. I’m looking forward to that being explored next year, and I can only hope that it doesn’t end too soon for the writers to satisfy the vocal Hameron minority. That would be a shark-jump.— Reina
Matt Roush: And you think I’m going to jump into the middle of this debate why? You’d think the fact they’ve marginalized Cameron so much this season would have already put the kibosh on the notion of ingénue and former mentor becoming a serious item. But Cuddy and House? So much more fun to contemplate, not that I’m pining for the grouchy doc to get serious (if that’s even possible) with any of the regulars. Personally, I still miss Sela Ward.

Cameron is perfect to chase.they are a cute couple.Cameron and house wouldn’t be good because she’s a person very sensitive and ethical ,she’s always thinking in people’s feelings and in safe the humanity so she isn’t the kind of person who House likes and he couldn’t stay together even a week! they would arguing all the time ,so I think that Cuddy is the perfect partner to House because she’s strong,determined and is the only person who can put him in his place.Somehow he respect her more than the others and there are a hot conection between them when they see each other.Definitely not be bored them being together.

I really don’t think Huddy has sparks. I think it had sparks BEFORE they decided to go down the romantic route – ie back when it was sexual-banter-with-employer/ee, but now… I don’t know, it’s just too OBVIOUS to be exciting. They try to hard to make a spark. Hameron, on the other hand, always has spark, when it needs to be there and when it doesn’t.
Hameron was so weird to watch. It felt wrong and not exciting. Huddy on the other hand, makes sparks.
I was really happy they didn’t pursue the House-Cameron relationship any further after season 1 – it just never seemed right and it would have been weird to watch. There is just no romantic or sexual chemistry there – sorry!Cameron and Chase make a much better couple (boring..but still). House and Cuddy on the other hand make the whole show worth watching – they have the best chemistry on TV and along with Wilson are the main reason to watch House!
I think hameron is the best couple, because in the hameron scenes you can see the sensible and sentimental side of house. It’s like he’s more kind when he’s with her and she can cares of him.

Yeah, it’s true that House and Cuddy are more… meant for eachother, I guess. That’s kinda why I like House and Cameron better, lol (though saying “Hameron” feels weird, lol. HAMeron? It sounds weird). I think clashing personalities have a more interesting dynamic…. But that’s just me. House and Cuddy just feels way too … normal. Not really interesting, you know?
I’ve long since argued that Cameron and Cuddy individually represent different sides to an ideal House partner. Cameron is nurturing, emotional, and caring. She is also a kindred spirit as she has a damaged past in common with House. Cuddy is more experienced, sexual and physically appropriate, and she has history with him. Yet I think House and Cameron ‘get’ each other on an entirely different, almost spiritual level. I don’t even think it’s (solely) romantic but they have this connection. They can just never act on it because of the age difference and House’s issues.
I think that if they were planning on House ending up with someone, they would go with Huddy. But I think his ideal woman is a combination of Cameron and Cuddy. However, I think he’s too screwed up to sustain a healthy relationship; he would be much better off by himself. And I think he most probably will end up alone.
Huddy is boring and doesn’t make any sense at all – she his boss, she’s guilty of crippeling him and she’s way too much like him, no way this would ever end well.
House and Cameron on the other hand… Cameorn was too weak for House in the first seasons. They’ve already had an amazing chemistry back then but Cameron was too weak for him, but she developed into such a strong, independent woman – she’s an equal to him now, and now they are perfect for each other. In contrast to Cuddy she doesn’t want him to change, she lets him be himself, accepts and loves him for who he is. That’s what he needs, not someone who wants to turn him into someone he’s not. The little Hameron scenes in Season 5 have more chemistry and are so much stronger than the blunt Huddy scenes right now, that’s the beauty of this ship. And since the Huddy ship will sink soon (Huddy ARC being over is only a matter of time, get over it), it’s soon going to be Hameron time… :D

I think House likes Cameron as a human being, but not another way.. I see that there is something between them, although I am (and have always been) a HUDDY-shipper…
Let´s wait and see…
( I hope that the Huddy-time won´t end soon…I´d be happy with a Huddy-baby, even if there is nothing more between them)
You write like the show is gonna stay like this forever. Srsly. The show woun´t saty the same forever, the times must change, or else it will be boring. In season 1 Hameron was the most possible ship, in season two it was all about Hameron and Hacy, and Now it´s huddy, but Our time will come, It´s so much going on with Hameron that huddies don´t see cause they´re not looking for it/ don´t want to see it. I´m not saying they´ll get merried and live happily ever after, House could never get merried, but there will be Hameron. If not a relationship, then at least something aka the huddystuff that is going on right now. Hameron is not dead yet. You wait and see…
Huddy relationship makes more sence than Hameron.Cameron is too Cameron for House, Cuddy is a strong woman and they already have one relationship(weirdy but it is tthere) and Hameron don’t.
OMG. No Hameron. It completely makes me wanna puke, no offense. Cameron is annoying and that ship sailed long ago. Also, she’s too nice for House. And how would a Huddy relationship be boring? With House and Cuddy in the same relationship, there is no way that it could be boring. It’s so obvious that he cares for her (end of ‘The Itch’, end of ‘Joy to the World’ etc) so I respect your opinions Hameron fans, but you had all your moments in the earlier seasons now let the Huddy fans have theirs.
Okay, that’s the thing I don’t understand about people, who don’t know what a shipper is. MOST Shippers like a certain pairing because they like the IDEA of those two getting together. Not necessarily because they think the two characters will get together.
And that’s the case with me. I like Hameron, but I basically agree with what Lexi said. “A happy House — would not be very House – like.” I don’t think he’ll end up with anyone.

The chemistry between House and Cameron was intense and sexy. Why the writers strayed away from the relationship is difficult to fathom. House has kissed Cuddy and Stacey, the kiss scene with Cameron was tender yet erotic. They were very convincing. The touching and staring into each other’s eyes was beyond description. Cuddy’s is hard, abrasive and dresses much like a left over from a brothel. Stacey didn’t appear to enjoy kissing House.
Yes, thank you! the Hameron’s are coming out of hiding. All I have been hearing lately is Huddy Huddy Huddy. So i watched their kiss as it was pretty good, but kinda weird. Not in a House-shouldn’t-be-kissing-his-boss way, but in a Their-lips-were-acting-weird way. I don’t know, it was a little awkward. But good for them, it has been a long time coming.
But I still stick with House and Cam, they had a few small moments in “The Itch” where they talked a bit. I did gag when I saw the Cameron Chase scenes. Ugh, that should be done already, they are so yuck for each other. Chase is becoming a introverted bore, he seems monotonous and bland. We only ever see him operating now. At least when he was on the team we saw his kiss-ass-ness and some personality.
Cameron is still awesome, it was good to see more of her. I liked how she was still getting attached to her patients, thats one of the things that annoys me and I still love it about her. Anyways, Hameron is dying out a bit, but it WILL be back. DShore has hinted about it, and also hypocritically said Cam’s crush on House was ‘played-out’. Whatever DShore, do what your goddamn fans want and don’t tell them what they NEED.
I am looking forward to more House, new episodes means new opportunities for some precious Hameron moments!!
Omg guys… can’t you all see it? As much as I like Cuddy and Huddy actually sounds hot Cameron is the only one who’s capable releasing House from his pain and make him feel different, she knows who he is !
