Jeanne – Yeah, that was my one complaint, too. Too long! Even my movie-happy butt got numb sitting that long. Still, the best Batman movie so far, I think.

Liz – We really liked Ledger as The Joker, too. Up til now, I’ve been a Jack Nicholson fan and still am, but Ledger definitely brings something new and creepy to the role.

Loved this movie!!! I thought it could have been a little shorter but, then again, I saw the midnight show and was a little tired.

Heath Ledger ruled the role of the Joker.

It is definitely a little dark for kids, but not nearly as dark as some reviews led me to believe. The Joker is very funny, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Hi Toni – Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I think it’s a little intense for a 9-year-old. The Joker is pretty darn scary, and there’s a couple scenes where children are in peril.

That said, this is the best Batman film so far. Definitely worth checking out. And yes, Ledger really DOES steal every scene he’s in, which is quite a few.

Not sure if I’ll take the 9-year-old to see this one; he’s so sweet-natured. But I may see it myself. I think the wry wit in Iron Man may have ruined me for all other super hero movies. Humor will get me there every time; pathos tends to keep me home.

That being said, I’m amazed by how completely Ledger steals every scene; wonder if the film is like that, too. Also: the stunt featuring a semi trailer flipping over? TOTALLY COOL.
