To refresh everybody’s memory, “No Gifts, Please,” the June 26th episode of The Bill Engvall Show, is all about the senior Pearsons’ attempts to pretend they don’t want gifts on the occasion of their 19th anniversary.
But, of course, they’re both lying, to themselves and each other, which causes inevitable complications, the biggest one a result of the presents they eventually exchange anyway. Take a look at the preview clip below for a sneak peek, which goes a long way towards demonstrating the basic problem.
Oh, and let’s not forget the children, or namely middle child Trent, who has an issue with getting up in the morning early enough to go to school on time. The dilemma then becomes a predicament for the entire family, in typical Pearson fashion.
