The CW was looking good last night when two of their shows picked up People’s Choice Awards.
Supernatural beat out Heroes, True Blood, Lost and Vampire Diaries to win Best Sci Fi/Fantasy Show!
The Vampire Diaries beat The Good Wife, V, Flash Forward and NCIS: Los Angeles for Best New Drama!
Those are huge wins. Unlike the Emmys or Oscars, The People’s Choice Awards are voted on by the viewing public and that says a lot. It is funny though, that Supernatural beat Vampire Diaries which then went on to beat everyone else!
The only downside, is I hear these awards were not presented in the telecast. I missed the first half hour, so I thought it was my bad luck, but looks like not.
Lastly, if you click through the cut, you’ll find a Twitter message from an actor about his status on Supernatural.
@Mark_Sheppard When they gave me Crowley, they promised he would recur…

Wow! Vampire Diaries for best new drama. That is very cool. Happy to hear it. On a side note, I wish they wouldn’t have canceled Moonlight. I guess it was before it’s time.

I was so happy that Supernatural won the PCA genre category, but disappointed that the award wasn’t presented live. If Lost, Heroes or True Blood had won, the show would have been honored lived. At least, I remember Lost winning and it being presented live. Supernatural is on The CW, so it doesn’t get announced? Ah, well. I’m still happy it got an award!

The fact that Supernatural beat out everyone in that category just made 2010 the best year ever. To be honest the only competition I thought this show had was Vampire Diaries, Since heroes has become a shell of its former self, Lost which leaves you stranded on a island with no questions(literally), and Tru Blood which makes my IQ fall every time I see it.
