The End

Sam (Jared Padalecki) tells Dean (Jensen Ackles) he wants to rejoin Dean in the battle of the Apocalypse, but Dean tells Sam that they are better off apart.  Later, Dean awakens five years in the future in an abandoned city and is attacked by humans who have been infected with a demonic virus that turns humans into Zombies.  Zachariah (guest star Kurt Fuller) appears to Dean and explains that this is the world that exists as a result of Dean saying no to helping the angels fight Lucifer.  Dean meets up with Future Dean, who tells him that the virus is the Devil’s endgame for destroying mankind.

LOL. doesn’t matter. in 5×07 will be an episode without jensen. BUT OLDER OR NOT, DEAN WILL BE THERE.

IN 5X07 dean charater will be there, but as an old men. IS not a lack of presence identical as sam in the beggining – only 30 seconds, or 5×04 ten minutes

DEAN will be in 5×07 AS AN OLD MEN. So DEAN will be there, THE CARACTER.

i don’t believe that EK and the others will ever do one simple episode with DEAN – not jensen – desappearing like they did to SAM in 4×03 and 5×04.

    is not the same thing…

And yes i hate CASTIEL. HE must leave. CASTIEL SUCKS. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    ;)

i’d also love to remind anyone who’s talking about “the Sam-girls can shut up now” that those “Dean-girls” were bitching for 3 whole seasons about Dean not having a storyline or importance to the series(however we still got more screen time for him, hmmm)…..just incase you forgot…

  3. By Kristy

oh hey look…another episode without Sam for the most part. just lovely. *sarcasm*

@Jenna24 Yeah, I am looking forward to Sammy in a white suit too. Evil Sam :D.

And thanks for the reminder of Episode 7 for this season. To be honest I am so incredibly happy that Jensen isn’t in it a whole lot because then maybe just maybe some Sam girls will then be quiet. Also, it’ll be interesting to see what they do with Sam and older Dean.

I think you´r right ozzie. I just say CROATOAN. He is immune to the demon virus.
    Thanxx

  6. By Ozzie

There is speculation going around that Sam will be the carrier of the demon virus …which is why he will be seen at the very end dressed all in white looking like a medical doctor.

@nora great point about the samcentric episodes like AHBL 1 and also Heart and Levee just to name three. I don’t know for sure because I have better things to do than clock his minutes on screen, but I doubt Dean got more than 10 minutes in any of them. I didn’t seen any complaining about screentime there and I am not seeing any for the old Dean episode where Jensen will most likely be replaced by another actor altogether.

I have to admit that I am also very uncomfortable with the way some fans keep misquoting and misrepresenting Kripke, Gamble and Ackles’ words and intentions.

Kripke did not say Dean was the only hero on the show, he said that Dean is a hero because he keeps fighting even though he doesn’t have faith in a higher power. Since this came from his appearance at a convention in LA a couple of years ago, he was speaking about the fact that even though Dean didn’t have powers or a special destiny, he kept fighting and that’s what makes him a hero. He never said Sam wasn’t a hero. He was simply responding to a question about Dean’s lack of faith and why religious objects and rituals would work in such a situation. He did not talk about Sam in that answer because Sam was not part of the question.

Gamble did not say Sam’s story was told in the background, she said that even when Sam was standing in the background of a scene, you could tell that there was stuff going on in his head. You are taking a compliment to Jared and twisting it into something completely untrue and that is, frankly, quite insulting to him as as actor.

At the Vancouver Con Jensen said that Sera thinks she owns Sam and Ben thinks he owns Dean. He jokingly griped about the long hours because he had just finished shooting this episode where he was playing a dual role. Most people understood it for the joke.

It is really appalling how certain sam fans insist on taking the words of people who give to their fans with such generosity and goodwill and twist them in the most ugly and divisive ways.

Anyone who knows and understands this show and actually does watch for both brothers and for the stories, will see through these pathetic attempts at twisting the fact just to promote your guy. I really wonder how much JP appreciates these shenanigans on his behalf.

I guess I’m a Cas fangirl but it’s kinda ridiculous to call SPN the Castiel Show or the Dean/Cas show when Misha has gotten less than 10 mins of material altogether for the past two episodes, despite being a “regular”. Some of us are actually tired of Sam and Dean’s repetitive make-up/break-up routine. I hate how melodramatic they’re being written now. It’s an overdose of the “chick flick” moments Sam and Dean had tried to avoid.

I’m really excited about this episode because I’ve wanted a zombie horde episode for the longest time. The one with the demon siege on the police station came close.

“.is that Padalecki turned down the lead in GI JOE …for what”

I bet Padalecki is thanking his lucky stars he didn’t get GI Joe. It was a terrible film. Steven Seagal and Jean Claude Van Damme were pretty big names back in the day, even made some box office successes – did not do much for their respect as actors or their long terms careers. I have a feeling Channing Tatum is going to end up in much the same boat.

But if you want Jared stuck doing mindless straight to DVD actions films until he’s 60 years old, they…go for it.

I’m sure in the end he’d probably rather be a successful actor who has had a large variety of roles, whether he is a household name or not.

@nora: Thank you girl for seeing the things like they are. Like I said.. some of those so called fans like to complain a lot. I saw the pictures and was happy and excited but also a bit reluctant to read the comments BECAUSE I did, in some kind of way, knew how it would end. I will say this with all due respect but just like the character the fans of him are a bit immature and childish. It´s a show about two brothers, I get that but they don´t have to be around 7/24 not after what happend lately. Trust the writers and in the story Kripke had in his head right from the start.
Peace people. Lets enjoy the show. It will not last forever.

“@ all you Deangirl’s – put yourself in a Samgirl’s shoe for one second and see how it feels to have an entire episode with a ten minute appearance by Dean. Again. You wouldn’t like it either and would be doing the exact same thing.

Jensen will have a very small role in episode 7. I doubt Dean will be there for more than a few minutes. I also expect that, what little he is there, will be played as a joke at Dean’s expense – look at what that loser Dean has got himself into this time. Many fans involved in fandom know this, I don’t see much whining going on about lack of screentime. What I have been seeing are fans saying they’ll miss Jensen a lot but it’s great he got a few days off.

What Samgirls also seem to forget is that Dean was only in an episode like All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1 for a few minutes. I don’t think he was even in it for ten minutes, maybe 5 or 6. That was part of the season finale, which are always important episodes. I don’t remember a huge amount of complaining about his “lack of screen time” at the time.

Oh wow, these pics are AMAZING! Croatoan? Hmm… that’s interesting. This episode looks really cool, and Jensen looks soooooo good! 2 Deans in one episode — it can’t get any better than that! And just because Sam isn’t in these pictures doesn’t necessarily mean he won’t be in the episode at all.

*** To ALEX***, who said “Then, Jensen BLATANTLY stated at the Vancouver Con that Dean is Kripke’s favorite. 2+2 = 4.”

No, Jensen did NOT state this. He said that Sera Gamble thinks of Sam as hers and *BEN EDLUND* thinks of Dean as his in response to a question about this.

ALEX also said “Sam’s been chewing scenery for over a year (you know, standing there silently while all the other characters around him talk).”

Your definition of “chewing scenery” is INCORRECT. Chewing the scenery means to over-act, over-emote, or ham it up in a synthetic frenzy so great that you might even start biting chunks out of the set. Unless you’re referring to Jared Padalecki?

I have to say that I adore Sam (and Dean and Castiel and Bobby), but these super whiny Sam fans that always make the same comments online, make it very difficult for me to see their POV about this when they resort to bashing and hating on Dean and Castiel (and you know you do!) in response to what they perceive as Sam’s storyline getting ignored. And because these Sam fans have become such vocal Dean/Cas-haters, for no good reason, I have zero sympathy for them when they complain. I don’t understand why they’re even watching the show if they hate it so much?

  14. By nora

Alex – Nice creative hearing you have there. Jensen did not say Kripke’s favorite was Dean. He said Sera thinks Sam is her’s and Ben(Edlund) thinks Dean is his.

Somehow I doubt Kripke would be calling his favorite character a *ussy(think “another word for cat”:) or a loser, which is what he has called Dean at various times. Sam never gets called names by any of the writers or the showrunner, Sam doesn’t even get called names in the show, except very rarely, unlike Dean, on whom the writers seem to get off seeing how many insults towards him they can fit into an episode, by “friend” and enemy alike.

Now with regards to Jared “chewing scenery”(that word, I do not think it means what you think means:) — it’s rather interesting that somehow even when Dean isn’t the one talking and he’s just there listening? He doesn’t fade into the background, largely because Jensen stays “in” the scene, as the character. Just like in real life, just because someone isn’t talking, doesn’t mean they aren’t an active part of the gathering. Active listening is part of the art of acting.

If Sam fades away when he isn’t talking, you might want to look towards his actor rather than blaming the writers, the directors, the camera man, the lighting people and whoever else ends up on the top of your conspiracy theory hit list next time.

I am really excited to see this episode! It looks as if the production people have done a great job with the sets, especially with their limited budget. And if you are doing a season about the Apocalypse, you have to have at least one episode like this, showing the collapse of civilization and the survivors being chased by zombies! I’m also looking forward to seeing the confrontation between our Dean and the Dean in this future world; I think it is going to be really awesome!

Thanks to all the great people who make Supernatural and their hard work to bring these episodes to life for us!

Jensen was very happy and relaxed in the photo at dallas while having day off. I am happy with that. Therefore, I wont complaining much if Jensen is not in 5.07.
I really don’t understand why Jared fans always complaining.. Dont they think Jared needs day off too?
I like sam.. but I like sam less recently because of sam fans.

For two seasons and a good part of the season 3 it was about Sammy and his abilities , now Dean is part of the myth arc .We know Dean’s girls what it feels , Dean was just the big brother of Sammy winchester , now both have their importance in the myth of the show . That’s all . where is the problem in it ? And Cas is so cool , I love him and Misha is doing a great job . I don’t understand why you have to dislike Misha when you dislike his character …

And Dean is so hot with his gun strapped on his thigh , I totally agree ! Dean badass is so HOT !

Ooooh why do we have to wait ?!?!

  18. By Jenna24

@Ellie: A nosedive, really? Because of the few people who are more in love with complaining then the show itself????? No Way.

  19. By Jenna24

@isabelle saumur france: go to youtube and type in “Oh Death promo”

@Amber: Thank you. I know a lot of SamGirls too but they don´t complain as much as the three or four people do here. I get annoyed with Sam just because of them and he surely does not deserves that. I found the scene with Sam and the white suit and it looks great.
