Felt more like the Supernatural I know and adore than last week's episode. The pacing was much better, I thought. So glad to see Ellen, Jo, and Rufus back, and loved Bobby in this one, too. Kudos also to the actors playing War, the Iraq vet and the priest. Two things you didn't mention that really made this episode hit me like a punch in the gut (besides Cas's speech to Dean - wow, Misha rocked that!) were 1) the way Dean hesitated before turning the amulet over to Cas and 2) the way he offered to let Sam take the Impala. Both those actions just screamed "my brother is still the most important thing in the world to me." Heartbreaking, but in a good way. Kripke said this season would be about bringing the boys back together, and I know that watching it happen is going to make for some awesome and gut-wrenching TV. Can't wait to see more! If Travis Bickle in a skirt doesn't turn out to be Cate Blanchett, I will be disappointed. I do believe Sam chose Dean over John when he gave him that amulet. Hint, hint.
