There are three “first look” video clips out for the season premiere of Supernatural (September 10 on The CW). The first two make up the same bit that was shown at Comic Con but the third one is a heart-wrencher of the kind we adore.
Sam trying to make amends and Dean trying to avoid a chick flick moment. The boys are back.

Sympathy for the Devil

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) discover the consequences of breaking the final seal as the series’ fifth season opener picks up right where we left off – with Lucifer walking free and the first signs of the apocalypse beginning to be evident. Also stars Misha Collins as ‘Castiel’ and guest stars Jim Beaver as ‘Bobby,’ Kurt Fuller as ‘Zachariah,’ Mark Pellegrino as ‘Nick,’ Rachel Miner as ‘Meg’ and Rob Benedict as ‘Chuck.’ “Sympathy for the Devil” was written by Eric Kripke and directed by Robert Singer.

I agree with Stephanie – they boys shouldn’t be blaming each other, they should be blaming angels and demons. They both broke seals doing what angels and demons coerced and manipulated them into doing. I want to see them going to battle together, united, as brothers, and not the pawns of supernatural creatures any more.
Wow! Lots of hate goin on! Dean WAS being selfish in bringing back Sam, Sam never asked for it, he never asked to have demon blood, and he never asked for the apocolypse, but Dean being selfish wasn’t his fault..Dean’s human, he loves his brother, he couldn’t let him die, and I probably would of done the same thing. And yeah, the drinking the demon blood was totally Sam’s fault, and the excuse he was using, to kill Lilith, was only partly right, he wanted her to die for killing his brother gruesomely right of front of him..paybacks a bitch all you know? But I think he likes the power and control he gets from it. But who can blame him? I mean his whole life was set in stone for him, he never got to make his own decisions. He THOUGHT he was finally the one in control. I don’t think either one of them is at fault, and I think they should just talk it all out but share the blame. Cuz as soon as one starts blaming the other, then I will officially think that one is the dick and vote for the other…that totally made sense in my head. ;P
Oh wow, so can’t wait until Saturday when I will be able to watch it. Thanks for sharing, you’re awesome.

I think you haven’t been watching the same show as I have. To me the ones to blame for all this mess are the demons and some of the angels. Both Sam and Dean made huge mistakes, yes, but they are human after all. Actually, all Sam was trying to do was the right thing, both he and Dean were lied to and made to think that killing Lilith would end everything. Okay so, killing Lilith would end everything but not in the way we all thought. Both Sam and Dean were used to start the Apocalypse and now it’s time to fix everything. Just one week to go, I can’t wait!!!
Oh Rachel stop causing tension, with in the fandom. I am sick of the condemming of Dean, for Sam’s screw ups. Dean said in the clip WE made this mess WE will clean it up. Dean’s actions had nothing, to do with Sam nearly killing his own brother, right after he choose a demon over him. Dean did not blame Sam, or say he is better then Sam, or that he holds it against Sam. Stop trying to make Sam vrs Dean in the fando. Their are somethings that are so bad, they take time to forgive. NOTHING ABOUT THE CLIPS IS SAM’S MISTAKE IN FREEING LUCIFER. It is Sam’s behavior and fault for that.
LOVES SAMMY AND DEAN FOREVER. and now CAS ;)
ok. you want to go there. we can go there. he went to HELL to bring back SAM! i can see why you think hes ALWAYS so mean to his brother! bringing someone back from the dead thats just the worse thing you can do to someone, totally agree with you now!
These are terrific clips, and we’re going to have a wonderful season! Take your sour grapes elsewhere. I’m excited about what’s going to happen to these brothers. and totally stoked to see how Kripke and Co. bring them back together!
Yes, yes, I know, Dean was just a poor victim who wasn’t at all responsible for the choices he made (he just accidentally wound up in Hell, you know?). Sam is the true wrong one because Dean was there to tell him what to do and he didn’t listen.
Rachel, for the record…. Dean didnt have Sam in hell telling him to stop drinking DEMON BLOOD!!!! but lets not split hairs cant we all just love the winchester brothers equally!
thks Cynthia … i think i just may have fallen in love with you for posting these clips ;)
You would think that Dean had never broken a seal in his life. Oh, no, wait, he has!!! The first one!! Nice to see he’s still being as kind as always to Sam.
