CBS.com has added some of the fully remastered episodes of the original Star Trek to their new HD gallery. Yes, they’re streaming online, but the quality is amazing. A wider screen, sharper colors, sound quality is probably better but not so that I’d notice on my cheap headphones.
Right now you can choose from episodes 2 – 8, which includes “Charlie X,” “Mud’s Women,” and “The Man Trap.”
In other Star Trek news, game developer Cryptic Studios has developed a “Star Trek” multi-player online game. “Star Trek Online,” will premiere on Aug. 10 at the Star Trek convention in Las Vegas with a live webcast at www.startrekonline.com.

CBS is up to 22 episodes as of 17 NOV 2010. Still lacking 7 S1 eps. No sign of S2 or S3 eps anywhere on the web so far as I can find…
So its been a few months and a year and still no new ep of star trek remastered on their web site ? so whats going on with cbs and star trek? thats my question?
also I think that if anyone tries to compare the remastered effects to that of say star trek new voyages , seemed to have better effects or is that just me, so far I would say of the 13 shows I seen , the fan show seemed to do the enterprise better than the hd star trek remastered stuff show , when it comes to effects, that not saying that the effects arn’t good , but I do think they could of been better , a lot of people think this too I think
was Charlie X number 1 or 8
I am thinking one is the cage ep but I did not look them up so I am not sure yet
any idea why they don’t have one and eight shows , I noticed before they also had this problem with the normal shows, of star trek non-remastered shows that their online numbers sometime skiped shows too on their normal star trek cbs shows skipped epiode numbers too where missing which they seem to fix a few of them
Charlie X has been removed and others have been added since I wrote this post. I have no idea why.
Charlie X is not listed under its hd remaster shows , I don’t see it on their website
p.s most people don’t own or have website of their own
also why only 13 shows
with one and eight epsoides missing from their website?
I am pretty sure theirs more remastered shows
also XviD Mpeg-4 codec is better than flash video codec, and uses less space with the same quality at a setting of target Quantizer of 4.00 its less size and the same quality of hd video if they where to use that format it would take less space
